Why should a country so far away matter to me as an American Jewish teenager? What can I gain from Israel, despite its distance and small size? Together in this minimester, we’ll explore more than just the culture and geography of Israel. We’ll tackle the political tensions that exist there today and explore the issues that arise there as they’re actually happening to ensure that we are informed and educated Jews.
Dates: April 5, 19, May 3, 17
7:00-8:30pm with dinner included
This year, we are restructuring Hebrew High to include a series of four minimesters from which your teen can enroll. Whether it is the entire year or just a few mimimesters, you and your teens can select which topics interest them the most. Our goal is to maximize our time together as a class by teaching topics that are important and relevant to Jewish American teens today.
You can enroll for any or all of our minimester classes by clicking here: https://spsnyc.org/jackson-religious-school/jrs-program/hebrew-high/
