Chag Sameach! Tonight we begin the final of the major Fall Jewish holidays as we usher in Shmini Atzeret and then Simchat Torah, immediately followed by Shabbat. During these days we will recite Yizkor, finish the cycle of the Torah reading, and usher in the new year. SPS has a meaningful tradition of engaging all the generations on Erev Simchat Torah (Thursday night at 5:45 PM) and celebrating our leadership on Simchat Torah day (Friday morning beginning at 9:15 am).

SHEMINI ATZERET, Wednesday October 11, Service 5:45 pm
Thursday October 12, Service 9:15 am, Yizkor Service 11:15 am with Rinah Choir

SIMCHAT TORAH,
Thursday October 12, 5:45 pm
Dance with the Torah! Bring the whole family for this joyous event as we celebrate the completion of the annual reading of the Torah. Fun for all ages, tots – seniors

Friday October 13, 9:15 am
Gala fun-filled Torah Celebration of Leadership honoring Kallat Torah Gabrielle Alper and Hatan Bereshit Jeffrey Jacob. Kiddush Luncheon Follows

SHABBAT: Shabbat Services are at 6:15 on on Friday night and 9:15 on Saturday morning. There is Jr. Congregation at 10:30 am and Tot Shabbat at 11 am.

WOMEN’S LEAGUE has some wonderful upcoming programs! There is a docent tour of the Modigliani Exhibit at the Jewish Museum on October 19thand the Paid-Up Membership Dinner is on November 1st. There are flyers at the synagogue.
