In Kitah Zayin, our students are focused on their B’nei Mitzvah and on preparing for Jewish adulthood. We focus on how to think, speak, and live as Jews throughout the year. Our students focus on egalitarianism, kashrut (keeping kosher) and Shabbat as they learn from Jewish texts and consider their own connections, experiences and practices. Our Kitah Zayin students also engage in Tikkun Olam (repairing the world) as they work to make their communities better through service projects and education. They also learn Modern Hebrew and continue working closely with the Cantor as they prepare to lead the congregation for their B’nei Mitzvah.
7th grade (Kitah Zayin): Wednesdays from 4-7 pm, including dinner
