Our younger students attend religious school on Wednesday afternoons. We incorporate movement, drawing and verbal games and exercises. For example, they might learn to set up a Shabbat table, play “Etzbah al…” (means “finger on,” like I Spy) to practice Hebrew vocabulary, practice Hebrew letter yoga to remember Hebrew letters, or illustrate a book to retell the story of Noah in their own words. These students focus their learning on Torah stories, holidays, beginning Hebrew/prayer skills, and Israel.
