Family Programming

We view our role at Sutton Place Synagogue as not only educating children, but entire families. To that end, we’ve developed a curriculum designed to promote the involvement of entire families, both in the classroom and through separate programming around holidays and festivals. This provides an opportunity for parents and their children to learn about, and experience, Judaism together, in a communal setting with other families.

For our young families, we have holiday celebrations including Tot Sukkot, Tot Chanukah, and the Purim Carnival. These programs are designed for families with children under 6 in mind, and feature music, activities, stories, and art projects (among other things)!

For our school-age families, we have Religious School dinner a few times each year. These include Shabbat Dinner in the Sukkah, a Chanukah program and dinner, Pajama Havdallah, and an end-of-the-year BBQ!
