Shabbat Shalom from Rabbi Ain! – Friday, October 5, 2018

Shabbat Shalom! This week we will read from Parashat Bereshit, the first Torah portion in the Torah. In this Torah portion, God creates the world. After Adam and Eve eat the forbidden fruit, they are banished from the Garden of Eden. Later Cain kills Abel. God then considers destroying all of Creation.
Shabbat evening services are at 6:15 pm and Saturday morning services are at 9:15 am. Candle lighting is at 6:12 pm.
Please note: Minyan on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings of this coming week begin at 7:45 am because of Rosh Chodesh
Thought Question: How do you reconcile the creation of the world from a scientific perspective and the theological messages that we read about in the story of creation in the Torah? What is the power of holding both truths?
