Shabbat Shalom from Rabbi Ain – June 1, 2018

Shabbat Shalom! This week we will read from Parashat Behaalotecha.
In this Torah portion, the Israelites receive instructions regarding Passover. They journey forth from Sinai and complain to God on several occasions, provoking God’s anger. Miriam and Aaron speak against Moses.
Shabbat evening services are at 6:15 pm and Saturday morning Services are at 9:15 am. We will celebrate as Ethan Rayman is called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah.
Candle lighting is at  8:03 pm.
Thought Question: In this week’s Torah and Haftorah reading we encounter the Menorah. What do you feel when you see the Menorah? How is it a symbol of Judaism for you?
As a reminder…SPS is marching with UJA in this Sunday’s Salute to Israel Parade.
If you would like to cheer on our marchers meet at 52nd and 5th on the NE corner at 11 am. We hope to see you there.
