AVI ISSACHAROFF: JOURNALIST & CO-CREATOR OF NETFLIX’S FAUDA

Tuesday, November 12, 2019

Patrons Society Dinner: 6:30 PM

Community Lecture:  8 PM

Thanks to the generosity of Gary Kahn, in memory of his father, Stanley, SPS will host the sensational Avi Issacharoff. Avi co-created and wrote the action-drama series Fauda (“chaos” in Arabic), which won 11 Israeli Academy Television Awards in 2018 including Best Drama, Best Actor, and Best Director. The series tells the story of an undercover elite Israeli unit and their attempts to capture the number one Hamas terrorist in the West Bank. In 2016, Fauda was bought by Netflix and aired all over the world.

Members of the Patrons Society (those members who contributed a minimum of $1800 to the 2019-20 Yom Kippur Appeal) are invited as our guests to a dinner preceding the lecture. For dinner reservations, call Harriet Janover at 212-593-3300 or email hjanover@spsnyc.org

Mr. Issacharoff will make his presentation at 8 pm in the sanctuary.  The lecture is open to the community. Please invite your family and friends.
