KNS parents feel a strong connection to their child’s first school experience and they are an integral part of our community.

At Kaplan Nursery School, we believe that children learn best when parents are active partners in their child’s education and development. Every parent is a member of the KNS Parents Association. The PA Board sponsors community building events and fundraising events, such as the Annual Benefit and Family Fun Days. Every age group has Class Parents who organize get-togethers and provide communication regarding school events. 

We understand the challenges (and benefits!) of raising children in New York City. Therefore, we support a range of opportunities to get involved in a way that works best for your family. From attending our monthly PA meetings, reading a story to your child’s class, participating in a community service project or chairing a Parents Association event, your participation is always welcome.

KNS parents and children make friendships here that last long after the preschool years.
