Tzedakah Sunday: Breakfast Run

After the success of N’siyah participating in a Midnight Run earlier this year, we are collaborating again with Midnight Run - this time for the whole congregation on a Tzedakah Sunday - January 29th. We will be doing a Breakfast Run to bring supplies and food directly to people experiencing homelessness. All ages are welcome - any children/teens under 16 should have an adult come with them.

You can take part in the following ways:

  • Bringing winter clothing, supplies, and toiletries to the synagogue to distribute on the run anytime between now and January 26th (call the office at 212-593-3300 to ensure we are open before coming by)

  • Preparing a breakfast item for 50 people to serve on the Run and bringing to the synagogue either on Friday, January 27th (if it will keep) or early morning Sunday, January 29th (exact time TBA)

  • Organizing the supplies at the synagogue on Friday, January 27th (time can work around your schedule as long as before Shabbat)

  • Coming on the breakfast run on Sunday, January 29th - we will gather at the synagogue early morning Sunday, January 29th and transport the donated items and food to one assigned spot where we will serve breakfast and give out clothes for about an hour - sometime between 8 and 9 am. Exact times will be determined the week before when we find out our distribution location.
