We will discuss two articles from the Summer 2022 Lilith magazine edition which focuses on the theme of “Our Bodies Under Attack.” 

The first article “When They Act Like Their God is Bigger” (click on this link https://lilith.org/articles/when-they-act-like-their-god-is-bigger/) is based upon Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene’s tweet, and it focuses on how God has been politicized and weaponized to justify hate and ignorance.

The second article “The Biblical Jephthah’s Daughter: Who Owns Your Daughter’s Body?” (Click on this link https://lilith.org/articles/the-biblical-jephthahs-daughter-who-owns-your-daughters-body/) examines a painful and shocking text in the Torah about women’s bodies.
