Shavuot: Movie Screening

Shavuot: Movie Screening of Commandment 613

Screening of the short film, Commandment 613, which tells the story of how Rabbi Kevin Hale joyfully practices the sacred craft of Torah restoration, bringing new life to scrolls saved in Czechoslovakia during the Shoah. As his scribal work takes him to communities now entrusted with the scrolls, (including one that we have at SPS) he reflects on his own path to faith, and how he fulfilled the final commandment in the Torah: to write the scroll itself.

We will be joined after the film for a Q+A with Rabbi Hale and Miriam Lewin, Director/Producer.

Following the Q+A, we will have Erev Shavuot Services, around 7:30 PM.
